Cooke City, Montana is the closest place to get supplies and is about 14 miles away from Pebble Creek Campground. Here you will all the conveniences of a small town so be sure to gas up your vehicle. A large amount of wildlife is one of the big attractions in this part of Yellowstone National Park. Elk, moose, wolves, bison, bears and many other types of animals can be seen in this area. Soda Butte Creek provides world-class fishing opportunities and the Absaroka Mountains have some challenging hikes if you’re up to the challenge.
Pebble Creek Campground is open from June 15, 2018, until September 24, 2018. This is a small rustic campground with only 27 campsites. The restroom facilities are vault toilets and drinkable water is available. Each campsite has a picnic table and fire pit with a grate. Food storage containers are available to keep the wildlife away from your food and are 22″ by 22″ by 48″. Because the bear activity is so common in this area, it is most important that you keep your food sealed away. Pebble Creek Campground has limited number of RV sites and they are pull-through. There are no utility hook-ups at this campground, and there is no RV dump station available. The closest dump station is located 14 miles east in Cooke City, Montana.
