Mammoth Village is just a minute away from Mammoth Campground. Here you will find a service station, restaurants, a lounge, a coffee shop, a gift store, a general store with groceries and other supplies and many other amenities. The Gardiner River and many other small creeks are close by and provide many great fishing opportunities. The nearby Boiling River swimming area is a large hot-spring that flows into the Gardner River making it a great place to go swimming during the hot summer.
Mammoth Campground is Yellowstone’s only campground that is open year-round. There are 85 campsites available at this location. The restroom facilities are modern with flushing toilets and cold running water. Each campsite has a picnic table and fire pit with a grate. Food storage containers are available to keep the wildlife away from your food and are 22″ by 22″ by 48″. Don’t be surprised if you see some elk wandering through Mammoth Campground as they are very common in the area. Evening ranger programs are regularly scheduled during the summer months. Mammoth Campground can accommodate RVs up to 75 feet long. There are no utility hook-ups at this campground and there is no RV dump station available. The closest dump station is located 5 miles north in Gardiner, Montana.
